And His saying, Exalted is He, in this Surah—and this is the speech of the Master "Meem"—may his might be strengthened—referring to our Master the "Ayn"—may his might be strengthened: {Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray} 1 Then He, Exalted is His Name, resumed and said: {They call upon instead of Him none but females, and they call upon none but a rebellious Satan} 2 whom Allah has cursed. So contemplate the meaning of this saying of His: the "females" and the "Satan" intended by them are the First, the Second, and the Third; and the Satan in himself is the Second—may Allah curse him. Was there then a caller who calls upon and follows the leadership of these censured individuals instead of Allah, the Lord of the Worlds? This is what no one did or said after the appearance of Islam, nor did [anyone] say this anyone except in [the days of] Ignorance and those persisting in it outwardly and inwardly. As for those who profess the leadership (Imamate) of these instead of our Master, the Commander of the Faithful—may his might be strengthened—it is not permissible for anyone to report of them, nor do they themselves admit, that they profess leadership for themselves and taking them as lords; rather, it is their satans and their followers who professed their leadership and claimed for them what they claimed, instead of our Master,
