'Praise be to Allah, who has guided us to this; and we would not have been guided had Allah not guided us. The messengers of our Lord have come with the truth'. 'Our Lord, let not our hearts swerve after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower' .

A poetic fragment regarding Monotheism reached me, and some mentioned to me that it belongs to the Vizier Abu al-Qasim ibn 'Abbad, the vizier to some of the Abbasid Caliphs:

It was said to me: "Speak of Ali al-Murtada

A praise that extinguishes a vaulted fire [of Hell]."

I replied: "I cannot offer my praise to a youth

Whose [divine] status has left the wise man bewildered."

For [even] the Chosen Prophet [Muhammad] said to us

Regarding the Night of Ascension (Mi‘raj), when he was raised:

"The Compassionate One (al-Rahman) placed His hand upon me,

And I felt its coolness reach my heart."

While Ali [on the day of Khaybar] was placing his feet

In the [very same] place where Allah had placed His hand."

"And this, even if it is a veiled allusion (ta‘rīḍan makniyyan), is in fact an explicit and manifest declaration—revealing clearly to anyone who understands it—that Ali is the worshipped Deity.
