You created the servants and their sustenance;

Glory be to the Lord who, when He wills, acts.

You caused Your ships to sail in their seas,

And upon Your generosity was the reliance.

He [the Name] was an Imam for them, so they turned

Toward the clear, flowing path.

And they were led to the Water of the Spring of Life;

Truly, he who drank from it has triumphed.

You appeared through Seven [Manifestations] of the Essence,

Yet from the Essence of Your Essence, You do not move.

From Abel and Seth, to Joseph

And Joshua—he who is the desire and the hope.

And Asaph and Simeon [Peter], O you who ask me;

And through the Anza’iyya [Ali], the Seven were completed.

You manifested Your Veils after that,

And the Gate of Your Guidance, by which one finds the way.

And his [the Gate's] Orphans, for they are five;

By them, the learned ones strike [parables and] examples."
