[I seek refuge] from the belief that there is a Goal above our Master, the 'Ayn, that is higher or more sublime than Him.
Furthermore, this 'croaker' said after the verse: 'As for the Ultimate Goal of Goals, He is / The Most High, and for all things, He is like the reins':
He is the Great News (al-Naba' al-'Azim), Ali—so understand!
For all of creation is in dispute regarding Him.
Every side claims sincerity concerning Him,
Yet all, in their error, are plunging headlong."
"So he [al-Awni] emphasized through his statement his opinion that the 'Great News' (al-Naba' al-'Azim) is something other than our Master, the Prince of the Believers, may His power be exalted.
Then he expressed wonder, by way of questioning others: that every single person among the people claims sincerity regarding this 'Great News,' yet not a single one among the whole is correct. This 'croaker' [al-Awni] deemed none to be right except for his own opinion and no other.
