Ibn Saba and his group, who were witnesses?

They perished in the pit of the trench,

While they were, in His sight, the most noble of servants.

He cast them into it—is there any more to be said?

By His Word; for He is the Capable, the Forgiving.

And ask regarding Him on the day of Baqi' al-Gharqad,

When He summoned the Sun, and it bore witness

That He is the Creator, the Most High, the One.

Even the gluttonous [skeptic] Zaghlul nearly denied [the truth],

From what he beheld of the Power of the Most High.

And if the stubborn disbeliever says:

"But Amr struck him with the full strength of his forearm!"

I say the word of a striving believer:

[That strike] reached the shadow (al-Sadd), not the Unique One.

Desist from such talk and be covered in shame!

Have you not understood the explained wisdom?

Have you not read the Decisive, Authentic [Revelation]?
