Similarly, some of the Sheikhs who were in my era said to me: 'O so-and-so, know with certain knowledge that reports have come from our Sheikhs who lived in my time, stating—and it was established for them—that Rastibash al-Daylami, the eldest of the Sheikh's [al-Khasibi's] sons and the first among them in hearing [the doctrine], is in the Fire, while al-Awni is in Paradise!'
My amazement grew at these filthy narrations, these wretched intellects, and these rusted, murky minds. My gratitude to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, doubled for His good handiwork upon me and His beautiful actions—to Him belongs all praise and thanks. I said to that man: 'O man, may Allah rectify you, guide you, and grant you success. You are among those who agree with me that our Sheikh al-Khasibi (may Allah sanctify him) had only one "shirt" [reincarnation/life] remaining for him, which he completed in Antioch, reaching the final rank of those who attain and succeeding among the company of the winners. And that he (may Allah sanctify him) looked with the Light of Allah.'
He replied: 'All of this is true.' I then said: 'O Sheikh, may Allah rectify you, I want you to clarify for me the virtue of this man who looks with the Light of Allah?'
