THE FIRST CHAPTER
ON THE MONOTHEISM OF THE MOST HIGH, THE SUPREME, THE ONE
Who is God in the heaven and Imam in the earth; and the clarification of His distinction (Baynuniyyah) from His creation through evidences known by every believer and denied only by every disbelieving hypocrite.
DIRECT ADDRESS: The first evidence we present and clarify is an evidence from the Great Qur'an, to which all the People of the Qibla refer, and by which they establish the proof against those who oppose them and suppress with its verses those who resemble them. Among that is the saying of the Almighty in the Opening of the Book: {It is You we worship and You we ask for help} 1 . This address with the "Kaf" [the suffix 'You'] among all people of merit is only used for one who is existing, witnessed, seen, observed, and directly facing the address.
If a speaker says or an objector objects, saying: "This address was the address of His Messenger and His Prophet, and His Prophet used to see Him while we do not,"
