The wombs would yield—thus it has come in the reports.

How many a sign (Ayah) did He perform at Siffin,

Known by the narrators in the texts of the chronicles!

Miracles so dazzling, yet in response to them all,

They [the enemies] say: "Ali has performed sorcery!"

He said: "I am His Side (Janb) and His Eye ('Ayn),

" And His Soul—those of you who disbelieve know this.

These signs He has made manifest

Through the form of the Essence—is there then any who will remember?
