The Manifester of glorification (Tasbih) from a cup that appeared

In His palm, speaking with eloquent, undeniable speech.

Ask about Him in Babylon and elsewhere,

When He summoned the Sun, and it obeyed when He commanded.

I addressed it with a tongue that made the ears

Of those present on that day hear [its reply].

He addressed the Youths (of the Cave) in their cave,

While 'Atiq (Abu Bakr) and 'Umar were among the group.

Upon a carpet—He commanded the wind to

Carry him by the order of a Capable Sovereign.

And on the day of Kufan (Kufa) by its Euphrates,

When the water transgressed and He rebuked it.

And the story of the Towers when they beheld

Multitudes of angels descending like clouds;

While He was above them, in His hands His sword—

They recognized Him by the famous Dhu al-Faqar.
