O seeker who asks for guidance,

Listen to my discourse; you shall attain your desires from me.

Especially if you are a sincere friend,

Then the 'Unveiling' (Kashf) is permissible for you, O youth.

He who seeks to hide his wealth [knowledge] from his brother

Out of stinginess, has fallen from the heights.

He who speaks of the 'Brother' and upholds his covenant

Has turned away from the roads of delusion and ruin.

He who abhors 'The Third' (al-Shall) is saved by his knowledge;

He believes in the Truth, maintains loyalty (Wala), and disavows (Bara).

He [the questioner] said: 'Leave your claim!' I said openly: 'Refute it then, and ask whatever you wish!'

You see one who is visionary, speaking the answer

With awareness—yet how many call out but do not comprehend?
