By my life, a single section—indeed, even a single verse—announces the merit of its speaker, as the poet said:
The soul of a man is truer than his physical body, So recognize it through his words and his speech.
And as another said:
A person’s essence is known from the eyes of the one speaking to
them, Whether they are of their own party or among their enemies.
I have only mentioned these testimonies because many people adorn themselves with the claim of Monotheism, yet they have professed various conflicting things in their poetry and prose. Therefore, I cited these two verses as evidence because the Gnostic Monotheist (al-Muwahhid al-Arif), when something is read to him that merely resembles Monotheism but is not Pure Monotheism (Tawhid Muhd), he turns away from it; his intellect does not accept it, and his mind and heart cannot stomach it.
However, when he recognizes it as Pure Monotheism, he yearns for it, clings to it, and points others toward it."
