He calls them and speaks to them directly

In His Essence and the Name—He was not born.

Nor did He become a body that could be encompassed

Nor did He beget—Exalted is the Overseer above the limits of the limited.

There is nothing that contained Him such that it confined Him

Blessed be Allah! This is the statement of the firmly convinced.

Nor is He a limited 'thing' that can be defined

Nor is He 'nothing' such that He is denied by the denier.

[He is beyond] denial and negation; rather, we say He is

The Ancient One—who was not originated by other things.

"Reflect then and contemplate with the eye of inner-sight upon the merit of this virtuous Sheikh (al-Khasibi) and his immersion into the hidden secret of Allah. Observe the excellence of his style in conveying the very doctrine of Monotheism (Tawhid) through purification and abstraction. May Allah reward him for being a visionary monotheist and an expert scholar.
