We include in this book of ours a piece of his poetry that announces his merit regarding the matter we are discussing:

An aspiration manifested within a pure heart

And a soul flowing with hidden knowledge

It unveiled the covering and the insight from him

And protected him through his speech from blindness

It gathered within that the words of truth

Salsali, sanctified, and Ma'nawite

Alawite, Muhammadan, and Hasanite

Alawite, Muhammadan, and Baqirite

Ja'farite in guidance in every state

Musawite—and where is any like the Musawite?

He beheld the Fire within the spring of Water

So he urged the mounts forward without delay

He went forth and returned quenched by the Water

Which sufficed him beyond any drink ever tasted

And wondrous it is: Fire blazing within Water

Moving by a sublime and exalted knowledge
