"Verily, Allah—Glorified and Exalted is He—has brought near for you what was distant, and that which He makes easy for you shall not be difficult." Qays ibn Waraqah said: "By Allah, we were in that state when we suddenly heard the clamor of people at the gate of the mosque, the braying of camels, the neighing of horses, the bleating of sheep, and the sounds of livestock." The people asked: "What is this commotion and noise?"

The people rushed to the gate, and there were the families of all those Himyarite men—their children, their men, and all their wealth. The Himyarites were struck with bewilderment; their intellects failed them, and they stood stunned for a time. Then they approached their families, each one asking his wife and children: "Who brought you here? Who moved you and carried you from the land of Himyar? Who packed your belongings?"

Each of them replied: "You came to us! You carried us, you led our mounts, you divided the wealth, and you said: 'We wish to travel to Kufa, to settle there and remain in the presence of our Lord, the Commander of the Faithful—Glorified be His Might—for Kufa is more hospitable and better for us than the land of Himyar.'
