Thus, when the disorder occurred among the people of misguidance and bane, they were distinguished to the left, and the word of punishment became due upon them as distortion and exemplary deterrent, by their denial of their Originator and their rejection that He is their Bringer of Death and their Bringer of Life. So the soul of the believer was luminous by the response, the affirmation, and the righteous deed, and the soul of the disbeliever became satanic due to its disobedience, its denial, and the grim deed as such.

[1] Our Master al-Sadiq—peace be upon him—said: "The believers are human of structures, luminous of spirits; and the disbelievers are human of structures, satanic of spirits."

And the specialization for the believer was not attained through faith except that his soul yearns and longs for the most exalted station on the Day of the Covenant, and to see the standing of the people of schism and hypocrisy.

And if it [the soul] is of this quality, knowing through the Gnosis of the firmament of knowledge, then it must have, in this abode among the brothers, an existing impact and a praised remembrance; and perhaps it may be for the believers as accurate arrows and piercing flames.
