They are excluded from the likeness of faith and from my command; I am not their Commander nor their Master (Mawla), for as Allah the Exalted said: {That is because Allah is the Master of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no master} 1 , and: {Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do} 2 .

Moreover, Allah—Glorified and Exalted is He—is far above attributing to Himself or describing Himself with the attributes of His servants. He is their Creator, and they know they are created, and that they possess no power created anything. Behold, Allah—Glorified and Exalted is He—has described me in His Book, saying: {He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Producer, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise} 3 .
