Know—may Allah guide you and us from the death of ignorance and show us the Truth with certainty and vision:

[38] Verily, the meaning of the words of our Lord al-Sadiq—Glorified be His Might—that no age, time, period, or moment is devoid of an Existing Meaning, is as follows:

The "Existing Meaning" is He who manifested His Essence to us in His earth and His heavens, which are limitless, ungraspable, and beyond encompassment. We looked at Him and saw Him in a human form and a physical body; we saw Him standing, sitting, eating, drinking, having spouses and children, possessing movement and stillness, and [subjected to] killing and death. Everything that occurs to created beings, we saw occurring to Him. Yet He—Exalted is His Majesty—is contrary to that, and contrary to what the eyes of the onlookers among the rest of creation beheld.

This is because the people of every Rank (Martaba) look at Him from the perspective of where they are, not from the perspective of what He is. His manifestation—the signs of His existence and the proofs of His establishment—was an act of justice and kindness from Him, while He remains within His own Essence. The reality of the Essence of the One believed in cannot be grasped by encompassment, nor can it be viewed through "Where-ness" (ayniyya).
