When you see it, speak of it in your time, for after that, you shall manifest [to others] during the Absence (al-Ghayba)." I said: "Yes, my Lord." He said: "Rise with me." So I rose with him, and he went out from the camp and reached a hillock of the earth and sat upon it.

Then He said: "Call out, O Ammar: Where is Adam?" I called: "Where is Adam?" and behold, a tall, grand figure approached and stood [there]. Then He said to me: "Call out: Where is Noah?" I called: "Where is Noah?" and I saw a tall figure of advanced years approach and stand. Then He said: "Call out: Where is Abraham?" I called: "Where is Abraham?" and behold, a radiant, luminous figure of great awe and a beautiful face approached and stood.

Then He said: "Call out: Where is Moses?" I called: "Where is Moses?" and behold, an old man who had stooped, with a frowning, harsh, and wrathful expression in his face approached and stood. Then He said: "Call out: Where is Jesus?" I called: "Where is Jesus?" and behold, he was a youth with curly hair, a full mane, and a handsome stature, who approached and stood. Then He said: "Call out: Where is Muhammad?" I called: "Where is Muhammad?" and behold, I saw the Messenger of Allah—Glorified be His Might—in his exact form and description. I fell upon my face prostrate, but He said: "O Ammar, raise your head and remain firm." I said: "O my Lord you have established me."
