And it came in The Oceans of Lights (Bihar al-Anwar): On the authority of Yunus ibn Zabyan, who said: I entered upon as-Sadiq, Ja'far ibn Muhammad, glorified is his glory, and said: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, I entered upon Malik and his companions and heard some of them saying: 'Indeed, Allah has a face like physical faces,' and some of them saying: 'He has two hands,' and they argued using the statement of Allah, blessed and exalted is He: {with My two hands; have you become arrogant?'} 1
And some of them say: 'He is like a youth of thirty years.' So what do you hold concerning this, O son of the Messenger of Allah?"
He said: He was leaning, so he sat up straight and said: "O Allah, Your pardon, Your pardon!" Then he said: "O Yunus, whoever claims that Allah has a face like physical faces has committed shirk (associated partners with Him),
