against interpreting (ta’wīl) any verse of the verses of the Qur'an without knowledge, or without referring back to the People of Infallibility (Ahl al-‘Ismah) who are the translators and spokesmen of the Qur'an.
Prohibition has come within the Holy Qur'an against interpreting without knowledge, clarifying that none knows its interpretation except the Infallible ones; He, the Exalted, said: {And no one knows its interpretation except Allah and those deeply rooted in knowledge; they say, 'We believe in it.'} 1
And the Greatest Messenger said to Ali, glorified is the glory of both: "O Ali, you shall fight for its interpretation just as I fought for its revelation."
And our Master as-Sadiq, glorified is his glory, clarified the severe punishment that befalls a human being when interpreting any verse from the Book of Allah according to their personal opinion, so he, glorified is his glory, said: "Whoever interprets a verse from the Book of Allah according to his personal opinion, it is as though he fell from the heaven to the earth."
