So the saying of the Sheikh—Allah purified his person—(He did not corporealize into a body) is a negation that the Creator is a body in reality, as the created beings saw Him.

And Master Hasan Jadid said in The Complete Refutation of the Scattering of Illusions: "If we say of a man that he does not eat and does not drink, it is proof that there is no material element within him."

And if an objector objects to us and says: "The Sheikh—Allah purified his person—has affirmed by his statements in the Epistle (al-Risalah) that the Creator possesses the instruments of bodies and the limbs of bodies, relying in that upon the verses of the Holy Qur'an which mentioned that Allah has a hand, a face, a soul, an eye, a shin, etc. Likewise, when a questioner asked our Master, the Commander of the Faithful, glorified is his glory, to describe Allah to him as though he saw Him with his own eyes, he referred him to the Holy Qur'an to take the attributes of the Creator from the Qur'an, and said to him, as it is recorded in The Path of Eloquence (Nahj al-Balaghah):

'Look, O questioner! Follow that which the Qur'an has directed you to regarding His attribute, and seek illumination by the light of its guidance.
