And our Master as-Sadiq, glorified is his glory, said: "Indeed, Allah changes [others] but does not change, and He forms [others] but is not formed; rather, the changing and forming occur only within the eyes of humans."

Thus, the Creator, glorified is He, shows the eyes from Himself whatever He wills to show them, and alters the sights regarding the vision of Him, while He, glorified is He, does not change. However, our sights see certain things contrary to what they actually are, and our sights fluctuated regarding the vision of the Creator, glorified is He, seeing Him contrary to what He is. We have indeed seen the Creator in a human form upon which flows whatever flows upon us—so how did we know that, in reality, He is not a human form like us?

The Glorious Erudite Sheikh Sulayman al-Ahmad, Allah sanctified him, said: "Indeed, the existence of the Creator within our attributes is manifest to the intellect as being other than that through which He appeared; because anyone possessing this capability—His capability—could not have that form as His actual form. However, this is veiled from the sense perception, because the onlooker only sees his own likeness."
