likewise the darkness of aversion and the cause of illnesses prevent us from seeing anything except what is like our own attributes—darkness and light, absence and presence."
And the Sheikh, Allah purified his person, said:
If you were truthful, We would have uncovered from your insights
That which was veiling you from true vision
The commentator said: "Meaning: if you were truthful in responding, in allegiance, and in adhering to the commands of the Sons of al-Zahra, We would have uncovered and clarified for you the cause that was veiling you from seeing Him, to the point that you saw Him as a human like yourselves."
And the Sheikh also said:
Weep for the sins that veil your eyes
At the time of ocular witnessing, and do not weep for the human
The commentator said: "Meaning: weep for your sins and lament 1 your deeds which were the cause of your being veiled
