And it came in The Book of Admonition by Sheikh Ahmad al-Istibari, Allah sanctified him: "The One who appeared to humans as a human is the One who appeared to the people of light with light, and we, the world of humans, our sights have turned, so we saw Him in a human form."

And it came in The Gnostic’s Proof: "The Meaning does not appear in the likeness of the form of the Gate, but rather appears in the likeness of the form of the Name as an honoring for it, so how could He appear in the form of the incapable creature? But rather He turned the hearts and the sights and showed us His Essence thus..."

And the fourth reason: is that none of the creatures can stand firm for the vision of the Essence abstract from the names and attributes, because if He, glorified is He, manifested Himself to His creation with the totality of the Essence and the luminosity of the Divinity, He would have extinguished the lights, blinded the sights, and burned the universe, its upper and its lower. Therefore, the Creator, glorified is He, was gracious to His creation and appeared to every genus like its genus.
