thereby affirming the power and negating incapacity and mortality—then this is the authentic opinion of the Sheikh, in accordance with the statement of al-Makedun:
"I bear witness that there is no god but Ali, the Hairline-Receding and Full."
Therefore, whosoever points toward the Form, confining it strictly within what his eyes perceived, has indeed confined the Creator, limited Him, and resembled Him to His creation—and this is disbelief. Conversely, whosoever points toward that Form while declaring it transcendent above the attributes of created beings, above what the eyes of the onlookers perceived, and above homogeneity with temporal entities—while simultaneously affirming the miracles and powers, and acknowledging that He, the Exalted, is an indivisible, solid Essence (juz’ aṣamm), a unique genus unto Himself (naw‘ wāḥid), and a fifth element/body (jism khāmis) distinct in His own Essence, possessing neither peer nor likeness, neither resemblance nor equal—then his pointing is sound and his path is upright.
