"Nothing is incumbent upon the believers except that to which they were called and which manifested to them—meaning Ali. And whatever knowledge has been absent from them, they are not obligated to know it; He has not bound them to servitude except through that which He has made known to them."

He also stated:

"And you are not obligated to have recognition of anything except the Sublime, All-Knowing One (al-‘Alī al-‘Allām), and you are not obligated to recognize whatever lies behind that of the spiritual stations (al-maqāmāt)."

Furthermore, it is stated in Al-Mukhliṣah:

"That which I believe is that the Essence (al-Ma‘na) is neither described nor recognized except through its Outward manifestation."

Thus, our Master, the Prince of the Faithful, glorified is his glory, is the Pre-Eternal, the Ancient of Days. Whosoever recognizes Him has indeed recognized the unassailable Hiddenness (al-ghayb al-manī‘), because the unassailable Hiddenness is itself the witnessed Outward manifestation, and the unknown Boundary is itself the known Boundary.
