And the oncoming Guidance (al-hudā al-ātī) is His manifestation to humanity.

like a mortal in a form belonging to the genre of their own forms, so that they might be enabled to perceive Him and recognize Him, and so that this recognition might serve as a cause for their salvation from the Abode of Perdition (Dār al-Bawār) and their return to the Dwellings of the Righteous in the proximity of the Sublime Compeller."

Thus, after the descent of the souls was enacted—following their reception of the promise that Guidance would come, which is the manifestation, as we have stated—and after Allah mandated the recognition of Himself upon His servants, His allies among the people of faith, for whom the finest reward was predestined and who answered His Caller when He said: "Am I not your Lord?" by their saying: "Yes!", remained in continuous anticipation of His manifestation to them like unto themselves, so that they might recognize Him just as He commanded them.

They set out with diligence and exertion in seeking the recognition of Him, exactly as the author of Al-Tanbīh, Allah sanctified his secret, said:
