For the Creator, glorified and exalted is He, displayed to us this form that resembles our own forms due to our own need—as created beings—for it, just as He displayed to us other matters that possess no reality in objective fact. Among these are:

He displayed to us the strike of Abd al-Rahman ibn Muljam (upon him be peace) against the Commander of the Faithful, glorified is his glory.

He displayed to us the killing of Abel by Cain, glorified is his glory.

He displayed to us that He took individual form in ninety thousand shapes on the Day of the Trench.

He displayed to us the manifestation in the form of the Name, whereas He does not manifest except through His Essence.

He displayed to us that the light of the moon is derived from the light of the sun.

He displayed to us that He acquired His knowledge from the Prophet, glorified is his glory.

He displayed to us His death by poison and His slaying at Karbala.
