He is exactly as He, the Exalted, said:
{His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, 'Be,' and it is.} 1
Consequently, when He returned the sun, He did not employ a physical hand, and likewise when He cleft the moon—as that dazzling miracle was completed without the use of an apparatus or an instrument; He simply said to it, "Return as you were," and it returned.
The same applies to when He extended his leg from Kufa to Levant and struck with it the accursed Mu'awiyah, overturning him from his throne; for He was capable of doing that and overturning him from the throne without an extended leg. Rather, it is exactly as our Master Abu Sa'id said:
"A power He manifests, so that the believers may be guided through it to His monotheism, and the seeker may deduce through it His existence—not as the ignorant person thinks, that He becomes fragmented, divided, or partitioned."
And just as the Masters, glorified is his glory, and the Chiefs, peace be upon them, transcended the Creator, glorified is He,
