Thus, they assert the physical extension (tajsīm) of the Creator, the Exalted, and His resemblance to His creation. They stand in direct contrast to the Deniers (al-Mu'attilah), who negate the manifestations and attributes to the point of total functional elimination (ta'tīl).
Then he, Allah sanctified his secret, said: 'The body (al-jasad) is the apparition of a human being in its entirety, and the phrasing of the verse is a stern warning against the settlement of the Creator, the Exalted, within physical bodies.'"
And it came in the book The Proof of the Knower (Hujjat al-‘Arif) concerning the statement of al-Usus ("He is a body"):
"And the statement of al-Usus: '(He is a body)' means in plain sight (fī al-‘iyān); as for in reality (fī al-ḥaqīqah), it is impermissible for Him to be called a body."
And Sheikh Abd al-Hadi Haydar, Allah sanctified his secret, said:
"Indeed, the saying of the Sheikh: 'A light unlike other lights, a thing unlike other things, an attribute unlike other attributes, a form unlike other forms, and an essence unlike other essences' is a transcending of his Master above the human form and bodily outlines."
