where is his mention in the saying: 'Say, He is Allah, One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge.'?" He said: Then my master smiled and said: "O you man, you have brought the undesirable matter."

So ponder, O my master, upon the saying of our master "you have brought the undesirable matter," while you forgot this saying of his: "Say, He is Allah, One" refers to the Prince of the Believers.

And likewise it was recited in his presence: "So which of the favors of your Lord will you two deny?" Exalted is our master, majestic is His mention.

And Ja'far bin Ali bin 'Abd Allah bin Shu'bah al-Harrani, peace be upon him, excelled in his performance when he says:

O you speaker, O you questioner, by Allah our Creator

Ask about that by the illuminations if they spark

The affirmation of nothingness is an invalidation, and far be it from Him

The object has confined us, making known a part and a rejection
