He said, majestic is His mention: Yes, I am I, I am He in whom the Children of Israel believed, and I am He whom Noah called upon so I was the respondent to him, and I am He whom the Companion of the Fish called upon in the darknesses that there is no deity except You, glory be to You, indeed I have been of the wrongdoers, I am He who called Moses and spoke to him from the tree, I am He who sent to Mary from a blowing therein from Our spirit, I am He who raised Idris to a high station, I am He who purified Jesus and raised him to Me, I am He whom centuries after centuries sought, I am the Most Gracious who rose over the Throne, to Me belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil, and every possessor of a spirit is speaking by My command, and there falls not of a leaf, nor wet nor dry, except by My knowledge, and there is no deity other than Me, and no one worshipped besides Me.

O Ghilba: he lied who resembled Me to a thing and resembled things to Me, or claimed that sights perceive Me or illusions notice Me, or things precede Me, and how can he perceive who has no end, so there is not known for Him a howness, nor a beingness, nor a quantity.
