Let us strike a parable for that: the Sabbath which the Interlocutor of Allah (Moses) commanded to fast is the month of Ramadan which the Beloved of Allah (Muhammad) commanded to fast. The indication of replacing the Sabbath with the month of Ramadan denotes that His manifestation—the Exalted—symbolized by the Sabbath day is His manifestations—the Exalted—symbolized by the thirty days; these are the days of the month of Ramadan in which the Creator manifests every day in a new affair.
It also denotes the obligation of concealing the secrets of every manifestation of His—the Exalted—symbolized by the thirty days, just like the obligation of concealing His manifestation—the Exalted—symbolized by the Sabbath day which Moses commanded. Our master Muhammad (PBUH) struck the parable with the fasting of the month of Ramadan to denote the obligation of fasting all months, and to denote that he is the Sabbath, and Muhammad is Jesus—peace be upon them both.
Just as our master Moses—peace be upon him—struck the parable with the fasting of the Sabbath day to denote the fasting of all days, for he is Moses, according to his saying: I am the Lord of the Sabbath.
Just as Ramadan is the entirety of Eternity (Al-Dahr), likewise the Sabbath is the entirety of Eternity.
