the diversity of beings; were it not for that, the personification would not differ in some inward narrations, and the inward interpretation would never differ.

Just as it is not permissible to glorify one day over another, one month over another, one hour over another, one manifestation over another, or one time among the five times over another, it is also not permissible to glorify the Sabbath day over other days, nor to glorify the month of Ramadan over other months, nor to glorify one prophet over the law of another among the prophets and messengers. This is because the Name-stations (al-Maqamat al-Ismiyya) are all one, and likewise their laws are all one law, and there is no disagreement between them. This outward difference is nothing but the completion of the clarification of inward meanings, according to the saying of the Lord Christ—peace be upon him: "I did not come to destroy but to fulfill..."
