And the Exalted said: {Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day and what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth are signs for a people who fear Allah} (Yunus 6).

And the verses are the signs indicating His Essence, seen through the attributes of His creatures.

It was said: The intent of his saying "I am the Fig, I am the Olive" is an indication that the attributes by which the masters of these two degrees—which are among the degrees of the Great World—know and see Him are their own attributes; because He, the Exalted, is seen by every existence as its own existence. Let us know with certainty that what the masters of these two degrees, the Fig and the Olive, see through their attributes is the worshipped Deity. He, the Exalted, is named with the names of the masters of the attributes through which He manifests, so that it may be known that He is the worshipped Meaning (Ma'na), not to establish them [the attributes] upon Him, the Exalted.

What gives us assurance in the correctness of this interpretation is his saying—peace be upon him—in another stance against this saying, and a thing is manifested by its opposite.

The speaker [who says]: "I am the servant of Allah," is the [same] speaker upon the pulpits of His greatness [who says]: "I am Allah, there is no god but I."
