Our Master, the Commander of the Faithful—peace be upon him—burned Abdullah bin Saba and his brothers several times because they revealed the secret of Allah the Exalted; and they—prayers of Allah be upon them—did not declare that declaration except by His permission and His pleasure.

Likewise, the Prophet (PBUH) prohibited wine and struck Abu Bakr with a rod so that he would cease drinking it. Yet, the Book and the Imams have indicated its praise in many places, as we have previously mentioned in this epistle.

Let us return to the mention of the clarification of what is intended by the seven outward days, for which the example was struck in the Torah to indicate their inward meanings.

Know, O inquirer... may Allah grant you success in knowledge and action—that His intent, the Exalted, by the mention of these six days in the Torah and the mention of the seventh day is an indication to denote the nature of their inward parts, which are the Seven Existences (al-Akwan al-Sab'a) symbolized by these seven days.
