for they are Salvation; are they not the true Sages?

They pushed back the glooms of ignorance and passion

so intellect walked by their light since they shone forth.

Say that the Sharia among us—excluding them—

is but deceit, mere profiteering, and hypocrisy.

They are its flowers, its fruits, and its core

while those you presumed were but the outer bark.

They were fashioned upon the loftiest character

such that, for their sake, even ancestors would seek lineage.

Truth is wherever they walk and whenever they speak

neither deceit nor hatred comes near them.

Through Religion let them be exalted, for they are its banners

and I swear, there is no loftiness beyond it.

They turned away from the world, so they are not shaken

by pride; yet they—if only you knew—are the true Great.

Patient, firm as Certainty, they are Imams

preserved from error, and through them, adversity is dispelled.

You would think them from the Household of the Chosen One

and I would swear that they are his true Successors.
