The poem of the great Syrian Arab poet Nadım Muhammad (Awakening)
The Awakening (Yaqadha)
By the inspired Arab poet Nadim Mohammed Reflecting his journey into Gnosis (Irfan) after finding guidance at the hands of Sheikh Eid al-Saleh and his sons—Sheikh Habib Eid al-Saleh and his brothers (may God sanctify their souls)—marking the transformative turning point toward the Truth and Ultimate Reality.
Eternity is a state and existence is a void
and the inhabitants are purified, sheer purity.
The Essence stands manifest before them in the "between"
there is neither outward showing nor any hiding.
They flourish around the Throne, yet they
neither draw near, nor are they the distant ones.
They hasten to the watering-springs, pasturing freely
enveloped by divine lights and celestial dews1.
A passage like the drifting of visions, and a discourse
untouched by formal speech or the need to listen.
