The poem of the great Syrian Arab poet Nadim Muhammad (Kingdom)
By the great Syrian Arab poet Nadim Muhammad | In praise and recognition of the learned jurist Sheikh Habib Eid al-Salih (May God sanctify both their souls)
The Kingdom of Beginning is of its legions
And the Ultimate End is but part of its veils
And Adam guards its thresholds
To bring perdition upon its deniers
And Eden is what it kindles from its Lord
And what the fair ones have gathered within their lashes
And the Fire is wrathful around its certainty
Slaughtering doubt with its blazing flames
Pre-eternity is among the sum of its numbers
And temporality is within the ranks of its parties
Holiness moistens its garments
Visible in the overflow of its abundance
And the secrets dream in sanctity
Prostrate from awe at its thresholds
