the People of Infallibility and the learned scholars among us who followed them, then the matter is grave; for deviating from the path of their righteousness leads to an evil end and destiny, and portends the torment of the Blazing Fire (al-Sa'ir). and because that which I have relied upon from their sayings is established by mass-concurrence (tawatur) in the books of the Monotheists (al-Muwahhidun); it is not permissible for a believer who is a Gnostic (‘arif) of Allah to declare them a lie, nor to brand as a disbeliever the one who presents them.

The most honorable of my companions to me and the closest of them in station to me is the one who seeks deep understanding... and the most hateful of them to me

It has been reported from our Master—mercy be upon him—that he said: "Indeed, the noblest of my companions to me, and the closest of them in rank to me, is the one who is learned (al-mutafaqqih) in his religion and sincere in his certainty. And indeed, the most hated of my companions to me is the one who hears a report (al-khabar) narrated from us and attributed to us, yet he declares it a lie and brands as a disbeliever the one who presents it."

May Allah protect us and the believers from that; and may Allah guide us and you to what He loves and is pleased with, and cause us to live and die upon His religion. Verily, He is All-Embracing, Near, All-Hearing, and Responsive.

It is completed, and with goodness, it has prevailed.
