al-Malik (The Sovereign), al-Quddus (The Most Holy), al-Salam (The Source of Peace)... etc. This does not include the inward (al-Batinah) names by which He is named in the luminous and human existence, for those are not permitted to be revealed to anyone except their [rightful] people.
As for the category whose outward form is prohibited and whose inner meaning is lawful: it refers to the Five Limits (al-Hudud al-Khamsah) and the manifestations of the Prophets, the Legatees (al-Awsiya'), and all the Worlds of Light in human forms and their fifteen states; because establishing their outward forms (zawahir), or practicing religion and believing in them within the private gatherings of the believers, is absolutely impermissible.
As for [being] among the Opponents (al-Adad), establishing them is among the religious obligations, but only for the purpose of concealment and dissimulation (Taqiyya), not for [actual] religious practice or belief. Regarding this meaning, the Almighty said in His Dear Book: {“So a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is punishment.”} (Al-Hadid 13).
