Naskh, while iron, copper, and lead are Maskh. This is as Allah the Almighty has informed in His Book:

“{And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] with His praise, but you do not understand their exaltation. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving.}” (Al-Isra' 44).
