And everything in the Book of Allah of this sort is a prohibition. Command and prohibition encompass obedience and disobedience. Thus, abandoning the command and following the prohibition is disbelief; while avoiding the prohibition and following the command is faith.

As for the attributes I have characterized for you and the descriptions I have given for these two states—namely command and prohibition—they have sources and inlets. Among them is the Scale... up to his saying: Then he clarified the Measure, the Scale, and Equity, saying:

{And give full measure and weight with justice [equity]} (Al-An'am 152).

And He said: {And establish weight with justice and do not fall short in the balance [scale]} (Al-Rahman 9).
