Analogy (Qiyas) in religion and Imam Al-Sadiq's prohibition to Abu Hanifa
Likewise, if it were permissible for us to reject all outward forms—as you falsely and impossibly claim about us—then it would be permissible for us (Allah forbid!) to permit the Outward of the Forbidden. However, this analogy necessitates a reflection [reversal], for it contradicts the foundations [Usul] and does not match what is transmitted [Manqul] or what is reasoned [Ma'qul]. It is absolutely not permissible, nor is it correct for a Sensible Scholar, to measure all the permitted and forbidden outward and inward things against the scale of the outward and inward of the Five Limits [Al-Hudud al-Khamsa], because he will find no witness for that at all. This is because the outward and inward are not of a single type to measure them all on the scale of the five outward and inward limits; rather, they are of many types, as will be explained, God willing.
