is the Visible Image which is the Universal Goal. It is the Veil [Hijab] to which the intent is directed and upon which the reliance lies.

Then he also bestowed upon us what he established in this meaning regarding the saying of the Exalted: "And whoever enters it shall be safe" (Al-Imran 97). Meaning: whoever acknowledges it and knows it has won a great victory.

Another answer: The House is the Knowledge of the Veil, which is the Mim [Muhammad] who was commanded to be obeyed and prostrated to in the first beginning of the world, and likewise in our day, as He said: "Prostrate to Adam, and they prostrated except Iblis, he was not of those who prostrated" (Al-A'raf 11).

So when he refused and was arrogant toward the Manifest Truth, He made him and his followers strive and perform Hajj toward humiliating misguidance. Indeed, Hajj was mandated upon people and all creation toward the Knowledge of Him, the acknowledgment of His Wilaya, His transcendence in His stations and manifestations, the negation of what we see of signs [material forms], and the affirmation of His miracles in all His stations and manifestations by His essence—that He is One Forever.
