I said: What is the meaning of the Sanctary of Allah [Haram]? He said: The Covenant of Allah and His Pact [Mithaq].

I said: Inform me about the Gazelles? He said: The Delegators [Al-Mufawwida] in the Sanctuary.

I said: And the scent of dung/droppings from them? He said: They mentioned Monotheism [Tawhid] and then denied it; therefore, the scent of acknowledgment is in them and in their bellies.

I said: What is the meaning of the Two Markers [Al-Alamayn]? He said: They are the Gates [Abwab].

I said: The Postal Messenger [Al-Barid]? He said: The Orphans [Aytam].

I said: The East [Al-Mashriq]? He said: The Chiefs [Nuqaba'].

I said: The Milestones [Al-Amyal]? He said: The Believers reaching Purity [Safa] from one to another until the Purity is joined.

I said: And who are the Bedouins [Al-A'rab] who cut off the road for the pilgrims? He said: The pilgrims [Hajij] are the Believers; and the Bedouins are the Short-comers [Al-Muqassira] who cut off the path for the believers and broadcast their secrets.
