In the Inward [Batin], providing water is to provide from the Water of Gnosis—if you are a scholar—to the one who has less knowledge than you, so that you may quench his thirst.

The meaning of Touching [Istilam] is the touching and kissing of the Stone. The intent is the knowledge of the Inward of the Stone and the acceptance from it, not as the people of the Outward [Zahir] narrate regarding the providing of water and the kissing of the Black Stone. Know that well.

"Nor washing and pouring,

Nor a resting place for the sacrificial offering."

Washing [Ghusl] is washing with water for purification from Impurity [Janaba]. According to the People of Truth, Janaba is the shunning [Mujanaba] of science without Gnosis. So, whoever stands upon the knowledge of Allah and knows his manifestations; thus he has washed and purified himself through Knowledge from doubt and polytheism [Shirk]. The Sacrificial Offering [Hady], according to the people of the Outward [Zahir], consists of the sacrifices slaughtered at Mina. However, the mandated Hady according to the People of Monotheism is the gifting of knowledge to those who deserve it.
