And the saying of the Exalted: {When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness], And when the stars fall, dispersing} (At-Takwir 1-2).

And His saying: {So when the stars are obliterated} (Al-Mursalat 8).

These are the suns of the Opposites and their moons, and they are the stars of the earth in its adornment and decoration. Their darkening and obliteration occur in the molds of metamorphosis (Masukhiyah) upon the appearance of the Mahdi in painful punishment.

We have only provided this explanation so that the seeker may know the sciences of Reality (Haqiqa), and that the speech of the Quran and the sayings of the Imams in the books of Oneness have an outward, an inward, and an inward of the inward.

If the answer is interpreted on the outward, it is what the Sunnis and the outward-oriented Shia believe. The inward is what is interpreted from the knowledge of the celestial persons, the heavenly lights, and the knowledge of the glorification of the Creator (al-Bari) and His transcendence above what He manifested to the Luminous World and the Human World—such as decline, transition, and changing from state to state.

It is known that He is the Living, the Everlasting, the Eternal, who has never ceased from His essence even if He appeared to His manifestation.
