He has known, believed, and answered what he was called to, and acted upon what he was commanded. Thus, he became among those of whom Allah said: {Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the people of understanding} (Az-Zumar 18).

Then he (pbuh) said: Ramadan is the Light of Splendor, the Brilliance of Grandeur, the Radiance of the Kingdom [Malakut], the Ray of the Veil [Hijab], the Radiance of the Holy Spirit, and the Lanterns of Divine Creation [Takwin al-Lahutiyya], secretly and openly. Upon him in that month is its rectification [Taqwim], and the descent of the Spirit into it at his hands on the Night of Explanation [Laylat al-Bayan] regarding what was and what He willed to be in his upcoming year.

Allah confirmed those He confirmed with the Truth and saved them by His power and will, and that is the Success. For this reason, He made silence obligatory upon His servants in that specific month, to be an act of honoring, glorifying, magnifying, ennobling, and awe. Whoever remains silent and safeguards [the secret], Allah mandates His pleasure for him. Whoever preserves its sanctity, his work is accepted and he is established upon his Gnosis [Ma'rifa].

But whoever is negligent and abandons silence therein, his fast is not accepted nor taken from him. He has no station with Allah if he only torments himself with hunger and thirst, for he has no [true] fasting.
