The overflowing water in this place is the science of the devils and the Opposites, and the sailing ship is the ark; it is the most noble Gate that saves the believers from all drowning in the science of the devils and the Opposites.

And the saying of the Exalted: {Indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it} (Al-Ma'idah 90). This is censured wine, and it is the guardianship of the three Opposites and their followers, and drinking from their science.

And the saying of the Exalted: {and rivers of wine delicious to those who drink} (Muhammad 15).

It is the praised wine mentioned by the gnostics and the authors of books and collections. They have described white wine, yellow wine, red wine, mixed wine, pure wine, a large cup, a small cup, and a cup empty, and a full cup. This is the description of the manifestations of the Creator and His knowledge with which the gnostics became intoxicated. This is the praised wine.

And there is a wine for which there is neither praise nor censure, which is the drink made from the water of grapes, according to His saying: {And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision} (An-Nahl 67).
